Duterte meets diplomats from EU, Spain, Pakistan

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte on Monday received on Monday the ambassadors of Spain, Pakistan and the European Union in Davao City.
A statement from the Duterte camp said that the diplomats were received at the Presidential Guest House in DPWH Panacan Depot.
The first diplomats Duterte received were Spanish Ambassador Luis Calvo and Consul Francisco Lon at 3:30 p.m.
They were followed by Pakistani Ambassador Safdar Hayat and dimplomat Taimur Zulfiqar, and later European Union Ambassador Franz Jessen.
Delegation of the EU to the Philippines Public Relations Officer Thelma Gecolea told GMA News Online that Jessen discussed the peace process, free trade agreement, and bilateral trade with Duterte during the meeting. Jessen also mentioned the Mindanao Collective Trademark System that the EU envoy is set to inaugurate on Tuesday.
The Mindanao Collective Trademark is a duly registered brand that will represent Mindanao and its products as they compete in the global markets.
Members of the South Korean National Assemply also paid Duterte a visit in Davao City.
Duterte met with Assemblymen Hong Moon-Jong, Lee Han-Sung, Lee Yang-Soo, Sungwon Kim, Jung Yousub, Byungyui Seo, Younghyo Park, Lee Jong-Key, Ryu Jearean and Dan-A Kwon at 8:25 p.m.
